Discover Baqueira-Beret
Founded in 1964 by Luis Arias, a former Spanish ski racer, Baqueira-Beret is a relatively young ski resort in Catalonia in the Pyrenees. With 167 km of pistes, it is one of the largest resorts on the Spanish side of the Pyrenees. The traditional architecture is in keeping with the older villages and hamlets dotted around the valley.
The resort centre is home to several restaurants and tapas bars and further down the valley you can experience true Pyrenean atmosphere and excellent dining quality.
Winter & Summer Season
There is plenty to keep guests entertained in all seasons in this special part of the world. With the first ski lift 50 metres from Eira ski lodge, over 160km of pistes, 35 lifts and ample off-piste terrain, snowsports enthusiasts are well catered for on this resort.
The valley is stunning in the summer, and the area often welcomes visitors who enjoy outdoor pursuits including biking, hiking, climbing and rafting in the clear waters. The area is also rich in history, nature and culture. Most villages have a summer festival, where traditional crafts and activities are demonstrated. ski lodge has a balcony over-looking the stunning valley, where you can enjoy a barbeque and relaxing evening.
Stylish Rooms & Fine Food
Eira ski lodge has eight bedrooms, all decorated and finished stylishly to a high standard and include flat screen TV, mini-bar and safe. High quality evening meals are cooked by an experienced chef, enabling guests to savour the taste of local traditional food after a day of exploring.
A three course set menu dinner is served six nights a week and are taken communally, in the spirit of the warm ski lodge atmosphere.
